Bangkok Trip 19/04/07~ First day

Woke up even earlier than the usual days I have to work. 6.30am. Stanrick was at Sam's house the previous night. So i had to pack his stuffs for him and bring eveything down to the carpark and meet him at 7.30am as he have to go home to "let his granny see" before we go bangkok. His granny went korea the same day as we left for bangkok. Just that ours is noon flight and hers is night flight. Bought prata back to his house, had breakfast and proceeded to stephanie's house at joo chiat. Stanrick left his car there, so that steph's dad can 'look' after it for him for the 3 days. Ha. Steph's dad drove us to airport and met joey at 10am.


While waiting for check in of luggage. Joey looks cute with her new hair style. Stanrick keep calling her 'sha da jie'.

Too bored in the plane, thought its only a 2 hr flight. Slept the first thing we are on board and took this only like 15mins before reaching bangkok.


Arrived and took a cab to Pan Pacific Hotel. Its really nice!! Mine and stanrick's room. Steph and joey's room is just beside us. We dont even have to close our door coz we have a 'main door' for both of our rooms. Cool. I didnt want to take the bathroom coz i'm usually scared of it and though the hotel looks bright, i just feel there's something errie in the toilet.


We're staying at the 27th floor and so, the view is fantastic!

Took a rest in the hotel for like 15mins and bangkok time is close to 2.30pm. Then we left for our first destination, PLatinum shopping mall.

Wanted to go find a massage place that steph's friend recommend, but walk and walk and we still cant find. Had lunch at MacDonald's. I know, stupid. But its the nearest place to grab something to eat. I'm so damn hungry! Walked again for like another 20mins under the hote hot sun before we give up and took a cab straight to platinum fashion mall. Not as great as what i anticipated. You have to really get in bulks, like 3 pcs and above before the things can be cheap. But 3 of us dont really have similar taste so cant really get so many things in the same shop. In the end, only bought undies(lots of them and they're cheap!), a skirt and belts there. Stanrick gave a black face, since we've been walking for 2 hrs plus non stop and the things there are all girly stuffs. Decided to call it a break and head for dinner at chinatown. Took cab again. Bangkok's traffic is bad. Think we are stuck in the jam for like 20mins.


Very long didnt see this already right! Coke in a glass bottle! and its only 10bucks.


Dinner. Forgot to take the tom yam soup. Too busy eating.

Guess where are we? Heading to the bird nest shop immediately after dinner and all of us had a bowl of bird nest each! I know.. we're pigs.

Took cab again and proceeded to Suan Lum night bazaar. As it turns out, stanrick loves it there. He was like wow, wow.. and this is then call shopping in bangkok. I'm surprised. Still thought he will find it crowded and hot. He's even the one who said he wanna go back on the 2nd night, since steph's colleague says that patpong night market is kind of dangerous.

Its very hot there and we did lots of bargaining. Stanrick didnt want to bargain at all. Well, he'll change his thinking soon...
At the end of the night, he only bought a pair of slippers for the whole day of shopping. Think he wanna save it for the 2nd day. For me, i bought a pair of slipper, a skirt, an nice black clutch bag, and an addidas bag for my bro. Not much things but the whole day we spent a total of 3k+ bucks on purchases, food and cab fares. Equivalent to abt $150+? Cant really remember and lazy to count.
Then, being tired and sticky, we took a cab back to our hotel at around 11+pm bangkok time. Went over to 7-11 to buy some drinks and toiletries.
Tada! Back at hotel and this is what we see. Robes made out nicely and flowers on the pillow. They also have ice in their thermo flask. Heavenly to drink ice cold coke at such hot country. Hey, i've been drinking coke with stanrick everyday! Ha!

Shagged us but satisfied after one day of good food and shopping. Yeah, stanrick agreed the shopping part is good too. But he only mentioned Suan Lum night bazaar. Haha!

He laid our, or should i say my purchases on the bed and took a photo of them. Can you see the slipper beside the red belt? Its the only thing he bought for himself. The white belt and the addidas white bag is for my bro. The rest oif the things are mine. Not alot what.....

Tried out the top, skirt and bag i bought. Not bad. haha.

Bathe and sleep. And got ready for our day 2......
